The Day After the Oscars

Again, not enough to keep me awake for the big finale... Guess I need to get out to the movies more often...As it was, another year and I only saw one of the Oscar contenders, 'Cars', on DVD.

I saw a show 'Breakfast with the Arts' earlier on Sunday; now that was entertaining, all 4 critics choose different Best Movies, yet knew 'The Departed' would win it... How about that 'Little Miss Sunshine'? Might check that one out too; as 'The Departed' is too violent for my taste.

I liked 'Cars', but 'Happy Feet' won... I want to see 'Pan's Labyrinth'; still might, on DVD because I'm not sure if I want to spend the $$ on a movie with subtitles; I'll probably need a remote in hand for that one. ;0)

Didn't Al Gore look heavier; I barely recognized his pudgy face...

And I loved Celine Dion's dress and the tribute to honorary Oscar for composer Ennio Morricone. Love his music; and her voice...

What did you all think of the 2007 Oscars winners?

AHH I have visited the site before mom, but didn't see how to post.
Yeah the Oscars were a bore...I didn't watch all of them but this year the movies were week...the best film was the departed, although it was good, I was not that impressed for it to get film of the year but in retro spect what other films really blew you away...you should watch little miss sunshine...funny dysfunctional family!

My Oscar thoughts....

Little Miss Sunshine was GREAT.

I was happy Marty finally won an Oscar.

Ellen had me cracking up, I just HEART her humor.

Lots of great dresses too, Nicole Kidman's had me drooling...

I watched The Departed, but US Airways shut off the TV 40 min before landing - so I missed the ending completely.

now off to see the nominated movies; after the fact...

Yeah, show Breakfast with the Arts shows how highly 'politically charged' the oscars are with the Committe of hundreds...

If you shun them, they shun you; etc...

The list of things To

  • Consider: Spring (and all it brings)
  • Do: Start that new project, or old one as the case maybe. Tackle those Stairs and Hardwood Floors lying under mounds of wall-to-wall carpet!
  • Not Do: Sweat the Small Stuff (repeat this 3x every hour on the hour)
  • Undo: all the calories from Winter. I'm off to a good start...
